Fall Protection Program, Fall Protection Training

Course Description:
The Industrial/Commercial End-User Fall Protection Program has been created by Fall Protection Group Inc., a leader in North American fall protection training. The program is designed to address the fall safety needs for industrial and commercial workers. This program was developed in accordance with the requirement acceptable to the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA) and the Oil Sands Safety Association (OSSA). This program is fully accredited by the OSSA and is simultaneously recognized by the ACSA.

Learning Objectives:
The goal of this fall protection program is to ensure that recipients understand fall protection safety principles as they apply to the work environment and how to correctly use fall protection at all times. The learning objectives of this program are as follows:

    • To comprehend fall protection fundamentals and regulations
    • To understand methods of eliminating the fall hazard
    • To identify the components of personal travel restrain and fall arrest systems
    • To understand equipment specifications, limitations, care and inspection
    • To understand methods of proper planning when controlling fall hazards
    • To understand the need for rescue planning and preparedness

Course Duration:
The duration of the Industrial/Commercial End-User Fall Protection Program is 6-8 hours including both theoretical and practical application and testing dependant on the total number of participants in the course. Recertification training for this program is a 4 hour session.
